1. INTRODUCTION
1.1. Please read this Policy together with the General Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy.
1.2. Beauty Booking (hereinafter referred to as the "Platform" or "Beauty Booking") is a mobile application that uses local storage and analytics tools but does not use cookies in the traditional sense, as websites do.
1.3. This Policy explains how and why Beauty Booking collects and stores certain data locally on your device and how analytics tools are used to enhance your experience within the application.
1.4. Unless otherwise defined, all terms in this Policy have the same meaning as in the General Terms and Conditions.
2. WHAT IS LOCAL STORAGE?
2.1. Local storage refers to data stored directly on your mobile device by the Beauty Booking app. This data allows the app to function efficiently, remember your preferences, and provide a seamless user experience without requiring cookies.
2.2. Examples of local storage use include:
- Saving your login session to prevent repeated sign-ins;
- Storing language and interface preferences;
- Caching images and data to improve app performance;
- Retaining booking and service history for convenience.
Unlike cookies on websites, local storage data is not automatically shared with external parties or tracking services.
3. WHAT ANALYTICS TOOLS DO WE USE?
3.1. Beauty Booking uses third-party analytics tools to improve user experience and optimize application performance. These tools do not use cookies but may collect anonymized data, such as:
- Frequency of app usage;
- Most visited sections of the app;
- Technical errors and crash reports.
3.2. We use three such processors, and only these three. PostHog, hosted in the European Union, receives product-analytics events after you have turned the "Usage analytics" setting on. Sentry receives crash and error diagnostics so we can find and fix failures; it identifies you by your account identifier alone, never by name, phone number or email address. We use PostHog's and Sentry's data solely for internal analysis to enhance the app's usability and functionality. LocationIQ receives the text of a business address you enter and resolves it to a map coordinate we then store, so the app can show that location on a map.
3.3. Third parties your browser contacts directly (mapping). If a page shows an interactive location map, your browser contacts Mapbox, Inc. directly to load the map tiles and styles that draw it. This is separate from the three processors named in 3.2: Mapbox never receives data from us, and this contact happens only when a live map is shown.
4. HOW WE USE LOCAL STORAGE AND ANALYTICS DATA
4.1. We utilize local storage and analytics to:
- Improve app performance and speed;
- Personalize user experience by remembering settings and preferences;
- Maintain session security and prevent unauthorized access;
- Analyse user interactions to enhance features and resolve issues.
4.2. We do not sell, share, or trade user data collected through local storage or analytics tools with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.
5. HOW TO CONTROL OR DELETE LOCAL STORAGE DATA
5.1. As a mobile application, Beauty Booking does not provide an option to disable local storage entirely. However, you may:
- Clear app cache and storage through your device settings to remove stored data.
- Uninstall and reinstall the app to reset all locally stored information.
5.2. For analytics tools, you can:
- Turn the "Usage analytics" setting off in the app at any time. This is the control that governs analytics collection, and turning it off stops it going forward.
- Ask us to delete the usage history already collected, using the "Delete usage history" action in the same place.
- Contact us if you have concerns about data collection.
6. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
6.1. We may update this Policy periodically. Any changes will be posted in the app with an updated effective date.
